TAKE CARE ALBUM REVIEW

Now if you are a regular visitor on our blog you will know that we absolutely HATE writing ridiculously LONG album reviews and when it comes to this album we are going to continue with our usual format and comment firstly on the main artist (DRAKE), his features, beats, lyrical content and album art work and then round it all off with a general score out of ten, so LETS GET TO IT SHALL WE !?!?

DRAKE
Within this album Drake comments on the different ways in which his life has changed since being exposed to extreme levels of Fame. He wobbles on about the usual rapper things like 'Hoes' ,'Vagina' and 'Money' but at the same time he adds his own life into each song and places the listener within his world. His lyrical flow can be sometimes jarring, and repetitive, but for the most part it works with  the incredible instrumentals used. Drakes singing appears to have also improved, along with his general wisdom and knowledge as a growing musician. To be completely honest, i did not see why he decided to put so many features onto this record, apart from Andre 3000 and The Weeknd, i found the majority of the features irrelevant, the album in my opinion, would of been equally successful if the artist decided to stand alone and truly proclaim the talent that he continuously assures to the listener that he has. I truly believe that Drake , will go down in history as being one of the true voices of the modernised Rap world.

OUR OVERALL OBSERVATIONS OF THE ENTIRE ALBUM

Some might suggest that the problem with , Take Care, is that the majority of the songs on the album were already released before the actual album was and the problem that this creates, is that you find yourself skipping tracks that you have already heard, its like 'OH There's Marvin's Room, heard that!, OH there's Headlines, heard that!, OH there's The Real Her, heard that!, OH there's I'm So Proud of you, HEARD THAT!'. When you Skip the tracks, it could be stated that the album looses focus and becomes a shamble. HOWEVER, the good thing about this is that you end up listening to tracks that you might of not listened to if Drake didn't release those tracks, it completely forces you to focus on each and every song as individual goldmines, rather than a collective.

The album overall has a really dull and dark atmosphere to it and i think that is what makes it incredible. It completely changes your emotions and it makes you want to sit in a room alone, with your headphones on, in the dark, and just relax. Another observation that we made is that Drake appears to be really influenced by Dubstep. The bass within some of these songs remind me of Drum and Bass and of a variety of Dubstep anthems, I'm guessing that he must of discovered it when he came over to London last year but ANYWAY, overall the album is great, it could be better but it's always better for an artists to slowly evolve because that is when you can kind of estimate how long they will be in this industry for and we really want Drake to be here for a while, he has an incredible talent.

WE HAVE RATED THE ALBUM 8.5/10

THE ALBUM ART WORK

The cover work for this album completely relates to the overall feel of this record, the artist is seen looking down around a room with rich colours and gold all alone and sad, it conveys the general subject matter that the rapper repetitively speaks on, for that reason we have given the cover work a nice, 10/10.
